In 2018 I decided to create a more thorough and detailed history of the house I grew up in - 417 North Kenilworth in Oak Park, Illinois. By searching through over a half dozen local publications, internet searches, materials my parents had, and using Find-A-Grave and Ancestry.com, I was able to create a document that detailed the lives of the families that lived in the house.

These stories became so compelling to me that I started to write songs about the experiences and tragedies associated with the house. This all led to this CD to honor the house and the families that made this house their home.

I’ll Get You by the Beatles on my brother Dan’s Silvertone acoustic guitar and then in the summer of 1966 I joined a band called The Rising Sons. Thirty years later in 1996 I began doing more songwriting and started producing CDs of original material. ... more
