Among the kinsmen who can claim a noble pedigree The Clan Ross stands through history as a grand old family When Fearchar in the 13th century became first earl of our clan In the place we call the Highlands there in Ross-shire we began We're Rosses till the end of time our tartan we hold dear Here’s a toast to our beloved clan we grow wiser with the years We’ve weathered wars and clearances survived through profits and loss From the north of Scotland we have spread the noble name of Ross We're Rosses till the end of time our tartan we hold dear Here’s a toast to our beloved clan we grow wiser with the years Our motto Spem Successus Alit Wiser words were never spoke It fills our hearts with pride to say Success nourishes hope The sons of Ross with strength and courage any foe or fate will face Our daughters all have been blessed with beauty charm and grace We're Rosses till the end of time our tartan we hold dear Here’s a toast to our beloved clan we grow wiser with the years Among the kinsmen who can claim a noble pedigree The Clan Ross stands through history as a grand old family Our banner will fly free

It’s a long road to Balnagown, it’s high above the sea The mist covers the rowan trees and you are here with me The Earl of Ross, he married sister Maud. He built the castle strong as an act of God The castle passed from Ross to Ross Through the battles and the wars From Alexander to David and It filled esprit de corps Admiral Sir John Lockhart-Ross Fulfilled the castle’s dreams Sir Charles Lockhart-Ross Built the gardens green Sir Charles Ross left Balnagown In Canada he hid The castle fell to disrepair Til Al-fayed made his bid All of Scotland was Celtic we believed Scota came from Egypt, Fayed said so do we It’s a long road to Balnagown It’s high above the sea The mist covers the rowan trees And you are here with me

Among the people who can boast of noble pedigree, The Rosses are quite famous and a grand old family; We cherish our ancestors, kinsmen and posterity. The Ross Clan marches on! Chorus: Glory to our grand old family, Virile, worthy, brave and loyal! Glory, "Spem suc-ces-sus a-lit!" The clan goes marching on! The world respects Old Glory, Kings her sure protection crave. She thrills our souls to strong devotion, makes us proud and brave. Betsy made our banner to in triumph ever wave! The Ross Clan marches on! James Ross was a minister of sacred sentiment; Alex' was a soldier who to danger bravely went; George Ross was a signer of a famous document The Ross Clan marches on! (Chorus) Henry was in Congress; Thomas, tutor to a prince; Richard was a lawyer who could all the world convince; Sir John was a hero, there has been none braver since. The Ross Clan marches on! Sir William, Robert, Hugh and James were fathers of our clan; Posterity of Isaac, John and Lyman never ran; George Ross was quite virile, William was a sturdy man. The Ross Clan marches on! (Chorus) The Rosses dwelt in England, Scotland, Ireland and in Wales. Where English tongue is spoken now the name of Ross prevails. How could the nations but advance when Ross Clan never fails. The Ross Clan marches on! The sons of Ross have courage any task or foe to face; Our daughters all are lovely with their beauty, charm and grace; The leaven of our family is a blessing to the race. The Ross Clan marches on! (Chorus) No matter what opposes or what evils may assail; With Ross allied in worthy causes justice will prevail Those who claim the name and blood of Ross should never fail. The Ross Clan marches on! (Chorus 2x)

about

Chip Kramer Ann Arbor, Michigan

In fifth grade at ten years old, I chose the trombone to play in the grade school band. At twelve years old I learned to play
I’ll Get You by the Beatles on my brother Dan’s Silvertone acoustic guitar and then in the summer of 1966 I joined a band called The Rising Sons. Thirty years later in 1996 I began doing more songwriting and started producing CDs of original material.
